The Complete Investment FAQ

The full, plain-text version of The Investment FAQ is posted monthly to several Usenet newsgroups, including misc.invest.stocks. You can retrieve this version by subscribing to the newsgroup, by searching Google groups, or by ftp. Quite a few sites around the world (also known as "news.answers archives") archive the plain-text version that appears in the newsgroups. I've listed a few of them below for your convenience.

Note that the terms of use for the plain-text version are different from the terms of use for the information stored on The Investment FAQ web site. In a nutshell, I encourage people to archive the plain-text version, but I forbid people to mirror the web site.

The following sites are official and unofficial mirrors of the news.answers archive. Please choose the site that is closest to you. The file names should include something like "The Investment FAQ." As of 2004, the FAQ posting is split into 20 parts, so look for "part x of 20." Unfortunately, some of these mirror sites have copies that are badly out of date. If you find a copy that is more than 60 days old, or if you see a file name such as "misc.invest FAQ on general topics," look elsewhere. Even worse, the news distribution system doesn't seem to deliver all of the parts to all of the sites in a reliable manner. But try the sites below; at least one should work for you.
